Shared Perspectives: Artful Vistas Colonial
Updated: Sep 14
Framing the view became a central idea in the design of this home, where architecture, art, and interiors were thoughtfully composed to create a backdrop for the homeowner's collection, personal expression, and evolving way of living. The project reflects a shared vision shaped through close collaboration between the design team and a client with a refined eye for detail, composition, and timeless design.

The client experience, in their own words:
The Experience
Every large-scale project has its complexities. But we never lost sight of what we were building toward. What we learned is that patience is as important as vision. The process demands it, and the result rewards it.
What made this possible was the breadth and depth of what Adorna brought to the process. A renovation of this scale means making thousands of decisions — from the profile of a trim detail to the finish on a door hinge. Danielle and the Adorna team connected us with the top tier specialists in every discipline: bath fixtures, tile and stone, custom cabinetmakers — people whose expertise elevated every element of the home. Having that trusted network, and knowing how to navigate it, was invaluable.
Most importantly, Danielle spoke the language of our lives.
She asked the right questions — not just about aesthetics, but about who we are, how we live, and who we are becoming. She helped us articulate and realize a vision not just for the home we needed today, but for the life we imagined living here for decades to come. Nothing was arbitrary. Everything was intentional.
What Made a Difference
Our home has become the gathering place we always wanted. Family celebrations, milestone moments, everyday dinners — they’re all memorable because the space invites that. It was designed for it.
One of the best reactions we’ve received was that our home feels like a resort - beautiful, serene, and considered in every detail. And yet it is unmistakably ours.
That balance — elevated but deeply personal,
refined but wholly livable — is perhaps the greatest
achievement of the whole project.
It doesn't feel like a showpiece. It feels like home. The one we came back to Haddonfield to build.
The Vision, Realized
Haddonfield has always been home — the place where Patrick was raised, where we started our lives together and became a family. After eight years away, we found a property that felt like an answer: a full acre of land, something rare in this borough.
We weren't just buying another house -
we were reclaiming a place to belong.
The existing structure, however, had no architectural integrity, no coherent narrative, and nothing that reflected the life we envisioned living here. A complete gut renovation was never in question. It was the only honest response to what the land deserved and what coming home truly meant to us. What stands today is entirely new, entirely intentional, and enduring — a home crafted around our family, our values, and the permanence of the place we have always called home.
Looking Back
We are still in awe daily. There are moments — having coffee on the lanai, an evening by the pool, a house full of family — where we catch ourselves simply taking it in. After a year and a half of decisions and construction and trust, we get to live inside our dream.
What Danielle and the Adorna team helped us create is exactly what we asked for — delivered with a level of craft and care that matched our own, and a process as considered and intentional as the home itself.
