
Adorna is seeking a Lead Designer with 7+ years of experience in commercial, hospitality, and residential markets. Under management of the Creative Director and with the support of a Junior Designer, the Lead Designer is responsible for conducting client projects from concept and design development, through construction administration and installation. In coordination with the Creative Director, the Lead Designer develops and maintains detailed project plans, coordinates consultants, and works collaboratively with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members to deliver projects on time and within budget.   Responsibilities & Duties 
Set pre-design inspirations, project palettes and finish selections in collaboration with the Creative Director 
Execute overall vision and style direction through design development, product specification, fabrication and installation 
Develop architectural design and construction documents related to all phases of each project 
Execute project designs within budget to maximum client satisfaction and optimal company margins 
Contribute to overall operations, including but not limited to: innovation of custom furnishings and construction details, refinement of internal project-related systems and processes, and proactive exploration of Adorna-aligned industry partnership opportunities
Qualifications 
Interior Design: 7+ years (minimum preferred) with experience in commercial, hospitality, and residential sectors
Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design or foreign equivalent.
Knowledge of applications such as: SketchUp, Microsoft Office, Dropbox, Slack, Canva 
Proficiency in AutoCAD & Adobe Creative Suite: Required
Professional affiliations such as NCIDQ/ASID, IIDA, and LEED ID+C preferred 
Exceptional attention to detail 
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to be assertive and clear with vendors and subcontractors in both written and verbal formats
Must have a reliable car with a valid driver’s license

The role of Junior Designer is responsible for working within a team environment, collaborating directly with their Senior Designer, Procurement Coordinator, and Design Principal. The successful candidate will be comfortable working on multiple projects simultaneously, helping clients achieve their design goals for projects of various size and scale.
