When I founded Adorna, my goal was not simply to create a design practice. I wanted to build the kind of studio where talented people could do their best work knowing they would be supported by one another, challenged to grow, and united by a shared commitment to thoughtful design.

Over the years, I have come to realize that the quality of our work is inseparable from the culture we've created. Every project is shaped by the conversations we have, the questions we ask, and the trust we place in one another. Design is inherently collaborative, and the strongest solutions emerge when every voice is respected and every perspective is considered.

At the center of that culture is the ability to understand, relate to, and be sensitive to the emotions, unique perspectives, and experiences of others. As a core component of emotional intelligence, empathy transforms understanding into actionable compassion, helping our team communicate effectively, collaborate openly, and support one another without burnout.
