Because we believe the most successful projects result from a holistic approach, ADORNA Design advises clients how best to phase endeavors, helping them envision a longer-term transformation of their spaces and budget accordingly. This process includes defining, prioritizing, and sequencing the scope of work in order to engage construction trades for feasibility and cost estimates.

Programming is a analytical and systematic process through which the project scope is determined. Goals are outlined and client needs are identified and prioritized; constraints and/or opportunities are also discussed. Knowledge of space standards help determine an optimal program, leading to the most successful, high-quality design.

A survey of existing conditions is used as a basis for developing a cohesive set of architectural design drawings – typically including floor plans, elevations, sections, assembly details, and product specifications. These drawings define the project scope, establish quality expectations, and act as a valuable visualization tool.

Existing architectural features and furnishings and those the client wishes to carry into the new design are determined. Followed with a space planning effort, it becomes apparent what supplemental pieces are needed. Then, products are researched, options are proposed, and often designer-client shopping trips take place.

As a liaison between the client and contractor, ADORNA Design ensures that the execution of construction is in accordance with the project scope and quality expectations as defined in the design drawings. Review of subcontractor shop drawings is also integral to this effort. Questions from either client or contractor are addressed within a timely manner.

The ADORNA team Makes the final stages of an effort seamless and simple for our clients. We coordinate white-glove delivery of furnishings, supervise installation and roll up our sleeves to personally accessorize and style every space.
