Having moved to a New Jersey suburb from a beach community in Southern California, our client craved the nostalgia of the casual, coastal aesthetic. Their primary goal was to make the formal dining and living area feel lived-in for entertaining. We removed the traditional wallpaper and draperies that weighed the space down and created a bright and elevated ambience that highlights the architecture. Tones from coastal landscapes were incorporated with patterns and textures of varying scales to create a layered, soothing environment.
